Dr Fiona Pavan provides specialist surgical care in thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal disease and general surgery, with a commitment to clinical excellence and individualised patient care.

THYROID
Diagnosis and surgical management of benign and malignant thyroid conditions.

PARATHYROID
Surgical management of parathyroid disease and hyperparathyroidism.

ADRENAL
Assessment and surgical management of selected adrenal conditions.

GENERAL SURGERY
Gallbladder and hernia surgery, including minimally invasive approaches where appropriate.

Fiona is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and holds appointments at Epworth Hospital Richmond, Jessie McPherson Private Hospital and Monash Health. Alongside her clinical practice, she is actively involved in surgical teaching, education and research, with a particular interest in thyroid disease and staying at the forefront of current surgical practice.

Fiona is also the Director of Clinical Training for the Monash Health intern program, having a strong interest in surgical education, junior doctor wellbeing and improving the healthcare experience at Monash Health. Alongside her clinical practice, she is involved in research, quality improvement and educational innovation, including initiatives with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and Women in Surgery committees.
